The big thing with the US is that the two main parties are honestly best understood as coalitions of a bunch of different interests. Within the Democratic party, you arguably have several different movements that have all agreed to work together: A liberal faction, a progressive faction, a (dying) conservative faction, even a growing democratic socialist subset, plus a few ethnic blocs. The Republican party is much the same way, and these coalitions have changed over time too.

As someone living in Idaho, this is a seriously stupid idea and it will never happen. Are we going to redraw the borders every few decades whenever political trends shift? Idaho last had a Democrat governor in 1995 and Oregon last had a Republican governor in 1987.

I am 80 and took the exact same test. It is to identify early signs of dementia . It is not a test of intelligence or education, other than the need to read simple sentences. Taking this test only means that the person taking the test is not showing signs of dementia.
